smaller world
Apr. 18th, 2011 03:27 pmmy world, here in Virginia, is getting smaller.
One thing that felt so odd to me was that I never ran into anyone I knew, anywhere. Saturday morning I ran into the mall to grab a few things we needed and I saw a woman I had met at LLL the week before! She recognized me too and said hello. We chatted for a few minutes and went our own ways.
Then last night I ran back into the mall and there walking in right behind me was the same woman! Both of us kid-less (she has 7!!) We chatted for a few more minutes, exchanged names, etc.
It makes me feel more at home, when I can actually bump into someone twice on the same weekend. Back home I can't walk into a store without knowing at least one or two people.
