birthday night #2

I picked Reagan up at school and she was SO happy to see me, it was such a great thing. She showed me her classroom, and I met her teacher and we went over what Tim and I are doing with Reagan on the weekends (journal, math and phonics work, plus spelling and working on neater writing etc) and she was so pleased. I really like her, at first from what Reagan was telling me, I thought she was a pushover. Reagan told me she didn't have to do homework if she didn't want to, and her teacher didn't care if she spelled words right or wrong, but today the teacher told me that she also has been talking to Reagan about being more careful about her spelling, especially when the word is written down in front of her. She told me that the students were not understanding about writing down their homework. It was so nice to be able to connect with her teacher and be more involved. I think I'll try to touch base every few Fridays to see how she's doing.

We picked Tim up from work and came home for his second birthday dinner, he wanted shepherd's pie and I have to admit, it was pretty darn tasty! As a surprise I bought him a fruit tart from Wegmans. He had requested one, but didn't know I got it.

I gave him an xbox game the other day on his actual birthday, but tonight was his awesome main gift, and aerobatic bi-plane ride, from The Flying Circus Airshow.

The Aerobatic Ride is approximately 15 minutes and includes some or all of the basic aerobatic maneuvers: Spin, Aileron Roll, Barrel Roll, Loop, Snap Roll, Cuban 8 and Split "S". I think it's insane, but he's thrilled. It made me happy to make him happy!

We all hung out at the park for a bit, and now starting to get Reagan ready for bed. I'm going to try to quickly pack up some more boxes for Tim to run over to the house. I think we are going to hire some help for the move. It's a decent price, and with my back as weak as it has been the last couple weeks, plus this cold, I'm not sure I'd be a great moving partner. I don't need Tim hurting his back doing it all by himself either. I feel really good about it.

Life is good.
