Tim

I can't even explain how sexy it is to walk into the kitchen and see my Motivated Mom's sheet on the counter with two days almost fully checked off. Thank you Tim. It motivated me to quickly clean the upstairs toilets, another thing checked off!

so trying to debate if it's worth the money for me. I've got great charts that have everything listed out daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly, but I'm contemplating that not having to decide what when is worth the money.

problem is, that I every time I get on there to try her out, I spend 2 hours trying to figure it out, and then walk away frustrated because I can't figure out what she is doing other than wasting my time reading her site. Then my bestie told me today that you can sign up for a daily list from her, but then what if I get the list and I don't have time for those things that day? with my charts and what I understand of the MM deal, I can look ahead and make adjustments as needed...as long as I don't use the iPhone app ;P

The FlyLady site is not very ADD-friendly, I don't think.

Have you seen the 30 days? http://flylady.net/pages/begin_babysteps.asp

I'm just trying to get through these and we'll see what happens. It usually takes me 2-3 days and I give up after a week. Trying again...

haha, no it's got way too much stuff for my ADD butt, lol

I had seen them, they actually feel overwhelming to me to start small like that. I like to be on track quickly, 30 days would kill me. But I do shine my sink thanks to her :D

I'm really trying to stick to it this time. I've completed three days so far - day one was shine the sink, day two is get dressed in the morning, and day three was to repeat day one and two ;)

Can't guarantee I'll make it any further, but my sink looks good!

lol, I would so totally feel like I accomplished nothing that I wouldn't make it any further!

I do need to learn to get dressed in the morning again, lots of times I don't shower till afternoon!!

I remember when I first tried flylady and thought "dude, I can clean my sink", and I did. :P

[identity profile] pyxiwulf.livejournal.com 2011-01-04 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
haha, me too. It never occurred to me that this was a regular chore! so I do clean my sink now :D

I like it because of the daily lists, but I don't have other sheets, I tried flylady years ago, but there were a ton of emails. I like the paper lists.

There are a few things that show up with a Motivated Moms google search. Which do you use?

That was the thing with FlyLady - I hated all the emails. They now use BigTent, not Yahoo, but I don't know if that will be any better. I'm trying it.

I'm using the half size one, with two weeks on one sheet.

oh yes

oooo did you have a pic of this/could you explain? i think that mike needs one in general and maybe it would be good for me when i go back to school FT and am working FT

It's basically a sheet that has two weeks of chores written out. For instance, Sunday might be "clip coupons, assess fridge for leftovers, etc". Monday "clean toilets, vacuum first floor of house, dust master bedroom, pay bills". I'm just making it up, but that's sort of what it's like.
