Paxton was very tactile when he was born. He would lay on my arm, running his hands up and down the underside of my arm, or when he was at my chest, he'd slowly move his hand back and forth across my chest.
I know some women swaddle for nursing, but he kneads my breast with his hand, it just seems like an instinctual thing to do. I was so torn between swaddling to be like the womb and skin to skin with the touch, but because of my birth situation and my fear of postpartum depression, skin on skin won.
He seemed content being swaddled in the hospital, I probably annoyed the nurses, they'd swaddle him after a check and I'd immediately unswaddle him and snuggle him. One said to me "You can't hold him if you are tired". I just ignored her. hahah
