(no subject)

I was in the middle of a conversation with the lovely sangreyfuego last night and suddenly my monitor shorts out. Black screen. I turn it off and on, tilt it and it comes back on. Ten minutes later it turns off again and I had no way of letting her know what happened..

I turned off the computer, thinking it was maybe overheated. Let it sit off all night... visions of no more internet for months cause I couldn't afford a new monitor. This morning I turn it back on, nothing.

The genius I am, looks on the back, and yes... it was unplugged. Heh. Guess it was working it's way unplugged all night ;)

I think I was half relieved it wasn't broken and half sorry I didn't have to take a 2 month hiatus from the computer :P


another glorious sunshiney day here today! I worked the 5:30 am shift and a man came in and gave me a note from his wife asking me to work for her this afternoon at the childcare center. heh! Glad everyone knows where to find me ;) So home for a bit then back to work! A day off tomorrow to get all the last bits and pieces done for the big selling day, MONDAY!!!

friday five, cause.. well, why not, I'm just sitting here in my underwear between jobs :P

1. How many locations (dwellings) have you lived in? 1 house in Powell River, but my parents were still messed up then so I spent a lot of time at my two grandparents houses (darn teenage parents), 1 house in Burnaby when I was a toddler, 1 house in Cranbrook till I was 4, an condo in Comox for 6 months while we built our first house, that house till I was 16 and we moved 1 km up the road, 1 house on 5 acres cause my dad didn't like our horses having more land than we did, moved into my place with my grandpa (to take care of him, till he went to the hospital and passed away) then I bought it when I was 18, now I'm selling and who knows where I'll live!

2. If you could place your dream home in any location, where would it be? hmmm, it would be a piece of land. I would have a roomy comfortable house with probably 4 or 5 bedrooms, a barn for my animals (you know, typical ones like goats and sheep and horses and maybe a cow, and of course chickens) and maybe a stream running through, deep enough to swim in. It would be somewhere fairly mild weathered, filled with lots of people I love (or at least a couple people I loved)

3. In terms of the act of moving: are you a packer or a box mover? I'm a packer. I'll havet to be a box mover too, but I hate moving bit things. I'd much rather organize.

4. What one item do you own that you absolutely hate to move? beds. dressers. couches. anything large and bulky.

5. What's worse: the act of moving or a routine cleaning at the dentist? oh my goodness, seriously, moving. I'm dreading it so much!! I love love love going to the dentist! But then I love my teeth so..

shaddup, I know I'm being a post-whore

1) I really want to start wearing more of my vintage jewelry, so today I'm wearing a beautiful necklace that I can't really wear many places, but I know the kids will love it :P

2) I put a bunch of my stuff in the Island Buy Sell or Trade and got a phone call about my electrolux vaccum, but oh my goodness, I can't remember what I listed it for or what I even wrote about it!! I need to go look in the paper before I call the woman back ;)


and.......... off to work (again!)
