Dec. 25th, 2005 05:26 pmMerry Christmas! (and happy holidays to those who don't celebrate)
I had such a great day. Was up till way too late, finishing presents, and set my alarm for way too early to continue finishing presents, but everyone received their home-made gift! The toques went over well, as did the jewellery.
I was spoiled... I noticed my mom opened pottery from the same artist I normally buy from, and it turned out that they had bought me the ipod I've been lusting after... very sweet. Although it was slightly sad to see the piece they had bought, since it was much more beautiful than the ipod ;) Pottery can't play music while I'm running though!! I did get two small pieces of pottery though, so now I have 6 large rice bowls (the kind with funky swirls to hold your chopsticks). My siblings gave me lots of beads and running socks and massaging pillow things. My aunt gave me a beautiful travel journal and a book of stories called A Woman's Passion for Travel. There's more but I feel like a spoiled brat already.
We had such good food, and it was so great to share Christmas morning with my cousin and my aunt. Must have been shocking for them. It's only ever been the two of them, but Josh came from Calgary and Gwen from England and all together we made... hmm.. *counting*... 13 not including the unborn and the dog. :)
Oh! And Naomi and Nico gave me a wonderful book called Chi Running, which I can't wait to read!
I'm tired and full and feel blessed for the family that has been given to me. I have more than is even necessary, and I hope I can bring blessing into other people's lives somehow.
