Sunday morning
Jul. 13th, 2008 11:29 amYesterday was my sister Shannon's birthday! She phoned the night before to see if I could watch her daughter Emily (2), so Steven (7), Troy and Shannon could go to the movies. Emily would have freaked out if I babysat there, but she loves going places with other people now.

We played in my back yard with my exercise ball. Sadly, the exercise ball now has a hole.

( the rest of the evening )
We watered my garden, and Emily watered herself and eventually stripped down to nothing and ran around with the hose till she slipped and needed cuddles from auntie. After that we went inside and watched a couple minutes of some random kids show and ate apple slices.
I ended up giving my sister my bike rack for the back of my car for her birthday present. Yes, a used birthday present. I was going to sell mine, and the other day she mentioned she wanted to buy one for the back of her car, she was really happy with it.
The grandfather in the front of the house was talking to me about the batch of kefir he has fermenting, and he's going to give me some started. It is supposed to be amazing for the body, but you have to get some from someone to start a batch, you can't really start it on your own. Theirs is more of a yogurt than the drink, and they use it in place of cream for sauces and use it in cakes and all kinds of things. It's great if you have issues with lactose. I'm curious to try it!
My co-worker called, and I'm taking care of her father in law for six or 7 hours today. I've already forgotten most of the rules for playing cribbage, I'll have to refresh my memory before I go over.
I went and weeded out some new weeds from my garden this morning, and all my peas have poked through the dirt now! The beans haven't come through yet though.
