My friend Carla came up with a new kind of abacus and she has a website here:

Abablocks

Abablocks™ are a tactile learning aid for teaching math principles such as counting by 2s, 3s, 4s and 5s and basic arithmetic.

For all you parents. :)

Today I walked past a bakery and saw this massive éclair. Pastry filled with cream, topped with chocolate and pieces of skor bar. It was round and luscious. I wanted it to be mine. I wanted to savour each bite. I never buy pastries.

I started to think that it might be okay to buy. It was only $1.98. It had skor bar on top! I had just finished a run... I deserved it.

Instead I walked past and went and bought some insanely over-priced cherries and I will enjoy every bite and will feel no guilt, and maybe I will eat an éclair one day, but not today.

ps. I tried on my bridesmaid dress and it fits better than last time I tried it on!! I'm feeling confident for September.
