I just took the car in for an oil change. It's so silly, but I really love doing those kinds of errands, as I've said before. Anything I can do to eliminate from Tim's long list of things to do, makes me feel useful and I know a shorter list is a relief for him.

I had an emotional drive back though! I saw an ambulance, and then a fire truck, and then a second fire truck, and I always try to say a little prayer in my head when I see emergency response people, for the people needing help and for the people helping them. Watching my neighbour die in the middle of the night, a few years back, in a fire, made me pretty sensitive about those things. Suddenly I could see all the lights right in front of me in an intersection and I burst into tears. I thought there was an accident right in front of me, and it just makes me ache to see people in danger like that. Turns out they were all just doing u-turns to get to their destination. *fans eyes*

I'm going to head to the bank right now to talk to them about establishing credit in my name. A lot of married women don't realize that being joint on accounts, being secondary on credit cards doesn't actually build credit for the woman (in Canada anyway). I have beautiful credit built up in Canada, but since they can't do a credit check for me here in the USA, I have to start from the beginning. I'm keeping my Canadian credit card open, even if I rarely use it, just to keep my credit in Canada.

Have a few other errands, a few jobs I want to do, and some housework to do, but I'm going to make sure I get out in the sunshine for a bit this afternoon!
