My grass is finally growing! I'm happy we've had a bit more rain than usual, since we pay for our water usage. I've been watering on the days it doesn't rain, and it's finally paying off. The grass that was already there is getting way too long, and will be a pain for Tim to mow, but we want the new grass to be established before mowing.

I scraped the top off my pinkie finger when I was planting. I stood up and scraped it on the patio concrete, and it's amazing how such a teeny little scrape can annoy me so much!

I made smoothies today, with bananas and strawberries, and even though it soured my tummy, I drank half of mine and that's the most fruit I've had in a long time. My indigestion is bad again today, but baby just seems to be stretching up further and further towards my throat. :P

Tim's painting the baby's closet, so the bedroom will be finished and I can start hanging up baby clothes. Yay. Speaking of Tim, I feel so bad for him, his poison ivy rash is so bad, big welts!!

Has he seen a doctor? He can get a steriod shot that will help dry up the rash some. I really recommend it.

I had it two years ago on about 70-80% of my body. If I hadn't gotten treatment ASAP I think I would have ended up in the hospital. Even after a shot and a course of pills I had it literally forehead to ankle, including on my areolas! The problem was I got gouged with the vine (it was a really old growth and the vine was 1" diameter at the base) and the oil got into my bloodstream. My doctor said he's never seen anything like it before.

Oh, that's brutal!! I can't imagine that, I feel so bad for you!

If his doesn't improve, I will send his butt to the doctor. So far it's just mostly on his forearms and one spot on his leg. My neighbour said that he should jump in their pool because apparently the chlorine is good for getting rid of the rash!

It take about 2 weeks for an existing rash to heal, which isn't so bad. It can take 2 weeks for all of the reaction to manifest and that's not so good. It's about a month total to rid yourself of poison ivy. Tell him I feel bad for him. I've had reactions in the past, but after last time I am terrified of being exposed again!

I can see the chlorine drying the blisters. I imaine it's probably good at disolving the oil too so if there's any lingering on the body it will help get it off.
