So funny, we changed up our sleeping arrangements last night, too! Cecile is now in a crib-crib about a foot away from the bed. It actually went really well. She didn't nurse until 5:00! I'm trying not to get too excited because we haven't hat a repeat performance yet.
Are you still swaddling Pax? That was the only way sleeping on the mattress worked for Cecile at that age.
