Thursday night

I was so sure my baby was better, but then he got worse as the day went on. He's still better than he was yesterday. Tonight I nursed him to sleep as usual, or tried to, but he fussed on his boppy. Finally I just laid him on his bed and he got all excited, was being silly smiling at me, laying his head down, popping his head up, laying it down again. I think he wanted to be in his bed! I nursed him for a while but then he let go and turned his head and fell asleep. Crazy. What's next, he soothes himself back to sleep when he wakes?? My baby is getting so big. Usually he has to nurse till he's fast asleep, and then I lay him down and he nurses again in his sleep.

It was fun watching him on Tim's lap tonight. Tim was 'running' Paxton's legs and when he was done, Pax would kick his legs again, wanting it again. It's so cool watching him learn to communicate what he wants and needs.

I hope the baby is better tomorrow. There's still a ton of gunk in his eyes. I tried to wipe them down with some breastmilk, tried to get a little in there, but it's not easy!

Yeah! It is good up the nose, in eyes. I put a little on his scratches, and I've even put it on my pimples before. :P When I had that horrible sickness a couple months ago, I put breastmilk in my ears.

I can just imagine the look of glee on his face when Tim is running his legs. The little dude is probably thinking, "Yeah! I'm running! ALL ON MY OWN!"
