One of my favourite times of the day is when Paxton has finished nursing and he's asleep on my lap. I gather him up and hold him on my shoulder and he just snuggles in, fast asleep. He's so beautiful and innocent and precious and soft. I hate to put him down, but it's time for sleep.

Awwww. I miss those days when Emilie would drift off to sleep after eating. These days nap and bedtimes tend to be more contentious than not; she's very sleepy, but fights going to sleep. However, I often sit in my rocker and hold her for a bit once she finally does go to sleep (I rock, sing and cuddle her to sleep) to just admire her and relish the moment. =)

nursing is the only way he'll go to sleep, unless Tim is holding him. It is sweet though. Sometimes I wish I could rock him to sleep!

It never gets old! I still love when Zach snuggles into me. Ben would never do that with me, so I enjoy it all that much more, even now he's almost 2!

Funny, Shannon had the same thing with Steven, he was never much of a snuggler. It's really so precious, isn't it. I'm glad Paxton is such a snuggly baby.

*sigh* That makes me feel a bit envious and remembering the time when Hannah was like that. I'm really glad I nursed for 18 months, because up until the end when it was only in the evenings, she'd fall asleep like that a lot.

Good for you for nursing till 18 months! I'm hoping to do about the same, 2 years is about my goal. I know one day I'll miss these moments, so I'm trying to really appreciate them now!!
