I already feel more refreshed than I've felt for a week. It's amazing what a day off and sunshine can do for a soul.
Hrm.. the sky just darkened as I wrote that. I'm not going to take that as a sign or anything. Moving on..
Seifert's farm is open again, and I hear they have young carrots, baby potatoes, lettuce.. all kinds of wonderful fresh vegetables. I do miss the
uncommoncold discount I used to get when she worked there. :D
I'm going to make these for dinner tonight. It was a toss up between those or twice baked potatoes, I'm not sure which is more evil.. probably the second, because of the cheese.
(I think my favourite part of summer is the fresh produce)
Last night after my class at the pool, I was famished. I didn't have dinner before I went, and I ate a couple strawberries on the way there, but they just weren't enough. All I could think about while I was driving home was POUTINE. I was just thinking about driving into a drivethru to pick some up, but with all the money mishaps I had earlier in the day, I thought I should make sure I had my bank card with me... and nope, it wasn't there. I had grabbed my wallet, and apparently my bank card was inside my actual purse. No poutine for me. Probably a good thing. Only bad thing? I'm still craving poutine. Maybe I'll make my own this week, with low fat gravy and local cheese curds and oven baked, french cut potatoes.
