Yesterday was nice, I had a great visit with Katrina. She made split pea soup for lunch, which I always think sounds disgusting, but when I'm eating it, I love it. It was so rainy we couldn't go for a walk, we just had fun with the babies instead. I miss my friends here. Katrina was awesome and offered me a long sleeved shirt and a hoodie and a fleece jacket for Paxton, that her son John has grown out of. I only packed t-shirts for Paxton and I! I was expecting summer!

I spent the afternoon with my parents, and then went to Brandi's. I picked up some Earth Balance so we could make rice crispie treats, Earth balance is almost $6 at Quality Foods in Comox, I pay just under $3 at Wegmans. Groceries are SO expensive in Canada.

Judy and Jennye came over, and Nell, with her baby. Paxton was walking around and I asked him where the baby was and he walked right over to her and held her hand and tried to touch her face. He wanted to eat her hand so badly, but she's less than 2 months, too little to be able to protect herself from my baby's love. I ate three rice crispie treats and cherries, I have a sugar hangover today.

Had a nice morning with my little baby, then set up my mom and dad's wireless printer.. except, what's this? It needs cords and the cords are missing and my mom is certain it's a wireless printer, but it doesn't say wireless on the box anywhere... heh. I have no idea what happened to the cord, but it certainly needs them. We borrowed my brother's printer cord and I scanned some old photos of my great grandma and sent them to my dad's cousin in Ottawa. Phoned my sister to find out if the sales guy said it was a wireless printer, and she said no, he was talking about a wireless printer, but it wouldn't work because they borrow my brother's somewhat weak internet signal.

I foresee a lot of confusing phone calls in my future, as I try to teach my mom how to use her computer over the phone.

I think I'm just going to stay here today. I've done a lot of visiting and it's fun but tiring. I might pile everyone into my borrowed car and take them to Costco, since they don't want a membership but are curious, since it just opened in their town. Best thing about Costco being here? It has started a gas war and gas dropped from somewhere around $1.50 per liter (I think) down to $1.01 per liter! That's still more expensive than in the USA, but it's cheaper for here! It just sound cheaper, buying by the liter instead of the gallon.

It's another rainy day here in Beautiful British Columbia. Did I mention the extended forecast is calling for rain for the entire time Reagan and Tim are here??? Disappointing. I don't mind if it's cool, but rain every day is a bit much. At least it isn't muggy.
