I'm doing home care for the father-in-law of my co-worker again tonight. My coworker says that I'm perfect because I'm like a nanny. I picked everyone up in their vehicle, drove them to where they were going for dinner (my bosses house) and I'll be their designated driver at the end of the night and no one has to worry about picking up vehicles tomorrow....

Anyway, I went and picked up Chinese food for us for dinner, and I put P.'s on his plate and mine on a plate and carried his down to his bedroom, where he wanted to eat and watch hockey. Suddenly I hear this CRASH and the SDLSDLKFJSDLKJF puppy (7 month old giant poodle thing) had pulled all the Chinese food off the counter and the kitchen floor was splattered with sweet and sour sauce and chow mein. So, I just spent the last 15 minutes washing the floor by hand. Heh.

Never a dull moment! Thank goodness! I probably would have eaten too much Chinese food anyway.

Well, the other person who commented to this post is in Australia and she loves it. :D (she's great)

Any reason for Burnaby? Just want to be in the lower mainland? Is that where he grew up?

Curt grew up in Medicine Hat, AB :) We chose B.C. because it's way prettier than AB! I remember taking a road trip to B.C. with my friend Sarah once and we could tell as soon as we hit B.C. because the scenery became so pretty!!

We thought Burnaby because that's where the big internet companies are like Ebay, etc. so Curt can find work and I can easily find work in neighbouring Vancouver, and it's still a big city. I'm a city girl, I need city life. We've been looking extensively into cities in B.C. and Vancouver Island, trying to make our mind up. How far away are you from Burnaby?

One of my University friends booked a worldwide trip when we graduated. She went to South Africa for four weeks, then flew to Australia and never left. She's been there since 2002. We thought it would be amazing to live there because it seems to be the "middle ground" between Canada and England, and it's somewhere that neither of us have lived before so it would be completely new for both of us :)

BC is really the best..

I'm not far from Vancouver, here on the Island. It's about an hour and a bit drive to the ferry, then an hour and a half ferry ride, then a drive into the city. The time isn't the biggest issue, the cost is.

I think time in Australia before you "settle down" is a brilliant idea!!
