Taking a break from attacking Reagan's play room. Not because I'm tired, just overwhelmed. Pre-pregnancy, I'd be in there making sure it was tidy, getting Reagan to tidy it. During pregnancy? Not so much and her and Amelia have managed to dump pretty much every single toy, and there are lots. Hundreds of little Barbie parts, littlest pet shop bits, polly pocket, animals, and then just tons of other little toys. Everything comes with 20 tiny pieces.

I'm putting all the younger bins of toys up in the closet, we'll work on a trade system now. If she wants toys from up in the closet, the rest of the playroom gets tidied and we trade for a toy down in the room. I also put the huge bin of stuffed animals into the closet. They don't get played with, take up tons of room and are fun to dump. I kept out her favorites and they are in a mesh hanging thing for stuffies.

I really need to put together a baby shower list for Brandi, of people to invite. Everything is coming up so quickly.

Ugh, I HATE the playroom! I can never do the whole thing all at once, I get so discouraged thinking of the last time I cleaned it and then I need to take a break, LOL!

It's almost done. In a year we'll probably have to revamp the whole thing and move all little itty bitty toys up to her bedroom. I feel better about it now that I have half the toys in boxes up on a shelf in the closet. I'm also putting a bunch of the toys outside in a bin, cause they can be outdoor toys.

It really took me most the afternoon!!!

I want to buy a book shelf for in there, plus another toy shelf, hooks for dressup clothes. It's the preschool teacher in me, I need it all organized!

I would love to have ours more organized, but at the same time we just really need to get rid of stuff up there. Some of it is from when the boys were babies, I think it's safe to move on from that.

Their father is a pack rat, though! I think I've finally gotten through to him, now all I need is the time!

I think Tim and Reagan both have a hard time with the idea of getting rid of some of the toys. There are these large barbie kitchen pieces that Reagan has not played with since I've been around, plus she has 2 doll houses that have kitchens, and kitchen stuff she plays with. I just don't understand why keep them.

I don't have the same emotional attachment to them though, I've only lived with these toys for 1.5 years, they've belonged to Reagan and Tim for 1-8 years. :P

I'm tempted to throw away her bottle cap collection if she doesn't do something with it. For years they were in a bag, now I find them all over the house. Not going to work when there is a baby in the house.

I know how you feel, but I would kill for a playroom! I'm so sick of the hosue the way it is. lol
I have all of these ideas but we don't have the time or money to DO it. Or the space, really.

Oh I know, when the three of us lived in a two bedroom apartment... it was tight quarters, and the toys sometimes got overwhelming. I'm really happy having a playroom right now. It was one of the things I definitely wanted when we bought a house.

I keep wanting to just rearrange things - i want to get rid of the spare room that is just collecting crap (and the crap in it!) and turn our office into a family room, and turn the spare roominto the office. Sherm's on board with it *when we move* but I want it NOW. lol

It will feel so good to get that spare room emptied out. Seriously. If you guys stay there longer, might be worth doing...

Ugh, yeah, needs to get done. I wish I could come over and help! Wish you could send the kids to Freya for the afternoon and get a head start on it.

my mom never let me get polly pocket for the reason that it was so expensive and the tiny pieces sure to get lost. I remember being so mad, but even by age 13 or 14 thinking "oh yeah, no way should i have had one." hahaha.

I think she's grown out of them, she hasn't asked for one for a long time. I think they are way to fiddly and hard to dress!!
