I really want cheese today. I want a giant cheese ball, and string cheese and slices of cheddar and brie with garlic and crackers and a cheese fountain, a big delicious cheese fountain. Probably because there's cheese in the door of the fridge right now... Tim and Reagan had grilled cheese sandwiches yesterday. I really hope he grows out of this dairy allergy.
I tried fixing the faces of two of our drawers in the kitchen. One worked, one didn't. We need longer screws or more screws. Whoever did this kitchen made a lot of stupid mistakes. It was done fast, a flip house.
I'm back to cloth with Paxton. I rarely go downstairs now that we have our Christmas tree up. I spend most the day upstairs playing with Paxton, listening to Christmas music, tidying, etc. Before I'd be downstairs where the tv is mostly. Today I went down and got a bunch of diaper stuff, since I keep them there, so that helped.
Making a teriyaki chicken dish in the crock pot, which I forgot to turn on for about an hour this afternoon. Veggies are prepped, rice needs to be cooked. I wanted to make ginger cookies this afternoon, but no molasses, need to run to the store later Tim is picking some up. Maybe I'll make some lactation cookies now.

Date: 2010-12-06 11:33 pm (UTC)I've been wondering if lactaid would help or can you not take it while BF? I mean if you break down the lactase before it gets to him or something. I'm guessing not. I drink lactose free milk, but that's about the length I go right now (still have ice cream and cheese and do generally fine while preggo). I could also go for a MASSIVE sharp cheddar cheese ball and some Ritz or something, but I've not seen one that says pasteurized. =(

Date: 2010-12-06 11:39 pm (UTC)The sad thing is that it isn't the lactose that he's allergic too, or that would be way easier. It's actually the dairy protein. I ate cheese every day through my pregnancy and was fine, it's just him having it through my breastmilk, but you might be fine!
I love the gingerbread house! I buy a bunch of my own candy though.

Date: 2010-12-07 12:05 am (UTC)I hope Paxton grows out of the dairy allergy too. I love dairy. But hey, it's only a year out of your life without dairy (or however long you choose to BF) and I am sure you'll never regret it.
Cute gingerbread house! I've never made one and always wanted to. Maybe when Emilie is old enough to help. Reagan and Paxton are lucky to have you! I love that photo too, they definitely are matchy-matchy.

Date: 2010-12-07 03:01 am (UTC)So funny about the chicken - I was TOTALLY going to make teriyaki chicken for dinner - and make extra so I can make "Sea scrolls" for Ben...but I realised I didn't have some of the ingredients for that, but had stuff to make salsa chicken, so I did that instead. :)

I love how I captured Paxton about to lunge onto Tim's finger like a dog.

Date: 2010-12-07 05:55 am (UTC)Isn't it annoying how you want something as soon as you know you can't have it? I go on diets and suddenly I care soooo much more about junk food than before.
