Oh, Paxton has grown enough that he finally fits in all his medium fuzzibunz diapers. I am a fan of prefolds and covers, but now that he fits these, I'm kind of a fan of them.. It's just so easy, quick stuff of the liner, no adjusting or rolling of the prefold, nothing. Hmmm. Prefolds and covers are still the economical way of cloth diapering. Maybe once he fits all my larger covers, I'll be excited about prefolds again.

Next step? Cloth diapering for night time. Now that I'm working in a cloth diaper store, I'm feeling all inspired to try some hemp/fleece prefolds.

I really want cheese today. I want a giant cheese ball, and string cheese and slices of cheddar and brie with garlic and crackers and a cheese fountain, a big delicious cheese fountain. Probably because there's cheese in the door of the fridge right now... Tim and Reagan had grilled cheese sandwiches yesterday. I really hope he grows out of this dairy allergy.

I tried fixing the faces of two of our drawers in the kitchen. One worked, one didn't. We need longer screws or more screws. Whoever did this kitchen made a lot of stupid mistakes. It was done fast, a flip house.

I'm back to cloth with Paxton. I rarely go downstairs now that we have our Christmas tree up. I spend most the day upstairs playing with Paxton, listening to Christmas music, tidying, etc. Before I'd be downstairs where the tv is mostly. Today I went down and got a bunch of diaper stuff, since I keep them there, so that helped.

Making a teriyaki chicken dish in the crock pot, which I forgot to turn on for about an hour this afternoon. Veggies are prepped, rice needs to be cooked. I wanted to make ginger cookies this afternoon, but no molasses, need to run to the store later Tim is picking some up. Maybe I'll make some lactation cookies now.

My nursing bras are on their way! I had ordered a way too small size by accident, we finally shipped them back last week and now they are shipping back. I'd recommended breakoutbras.com to anyone needing nursing (or regular) bras. Very happy with them, bought a black one and a leopard print one, just for fun. I have gigantic boobs too, so harder to find bras.

Prefolds are so much easier to use on Paxton now, which is excellent. I can do the twist fold, which is fast and easy and his covers fit him now. He has grown out of a couple of his AIOs, but that's okay. The reason I did cloth diapers was for money savings, so I'm happy to be actually using more of them! I thought I'd use them from birth and then I got this teeny little baby who just didn't fit them. I'm also happy that he's having way more yellow poops these days, and less green ones. Maybe the dairy was the key.

He's laying pretty happy on the floor. I think he's awesome. I put him on the floor in the hallway, downstairs so he could lay there and watch me do laundry and you'd think I'd put him in an amusement park. He was so content and happy, probably because it was new and he could see into the playroom which is bright and colourful.

Trying to upload a short video to facebook, it says it will take 4083 hours and 42 minutes. I'm not sure I'm that patient. :P

I don't think I mentioned that Paxton has teeth showing under the gums. Tim and I noticed them a few weeks ago, but figured he was too young. Then [livejournal.com profile] vitainpalus saw them too! They aren't cutting through, but they are definitely visible and he has bumps on his gums. Please wait a year for teething, thank you very much!!

Have a chicken out, will roast it tonight and make soup tomorrow. Things are good.

I know I keep posting but whatever.

Reagan jumped off the diving board tonight! It's only a few feet above the water, and she did it with a tube around her belly, but this is the kid who has spent the summer "swimming" on the first step of the pool in about a foot and a half of water. I cannot believe she did it. I offered her five bucks ages ago, never thinking she'd do it, then Anna said she'd match it and grandma said she'd match it, and then tonight I said that daddy might even kick in another 5. She wants to buy some $20 Barbie. Tim told her he'd pay her the extra 5, but only if she jumped for him tomorrow, he'll video tape it to show her mom and stepdad.

That was actually way too easy, maybe she was playing us. ;)

I'm boiling my diapers and I feel all Little House on the Prairie-ish, although I don't think Ma would have given herself a steam burn on her pinkie like I just did.

I had a look at Reagan's new bedding, and it turns out her bedskirt matches perfectly, I don't have to buy her a new one! It has pink and orange and white stripes, and the heart beadspread has pink, and orange and turquoise hearts, on white. Should be perfect!! She'll love it. That also means her sheets match perfectly too.

I had a nice swim in the pool, so relaxing to be in the water.

Happy Mother's day to all the moms on my list, the stepmoms, the women who have stepped in to be mother figures to people, to the preggos on my list, and extra love to the women who are still wanting to be moms but it hasn't happened yet. Even more love to those of you who have lost your moms, or don't have a mom in your life for whatever reason.

Tim succeeded in making me cry this morning, he's just too sweet to me. Yesterday Reagan gave me a card and in it she wrote "thank you for reading to me", which I thought was just awesome. There was also a gift card to my favourite used bookstore, which makes me happy.

Today there were tulips sitting on the kitchen table, and a card from the unborn baby, which almost made me cry and then a card from Tim thanking me for being a good stepmom and talking about our baby, which really made me cry. He also got me a Home Depot gift card so I can go and pick out flowers for our garden. These are the kinds of gifts that make me very happy.

We both slept in this morning, which was nice. Tim's going to put up the crib today, which I'm excited about. I ordered some diaper covers from blueberrydiapers.com, they have a sale today, buy one get one for free. I wanted to buy some Thirsties duo covers first, but these were a pretty good sale, and have good reviews.

Miss Reagan today, but in her card to her mom that we made, she wrote "Thank you for taking the day off to spend it with me", and I know that having a full day with her mom means so much to her, and I'm happy she's spending it with her mom. I'm glad summer is almost here and they can have some full days together, it has to be hard to just see each other after school 4 days a week and that's it. I can see Reagan craves time with her mom.

I think Tim and I might go to IHOP. Hahah, he suggested it his half sleep state, but I've been craving breakfast food ever since. We both need to call our moms first!
