more anxiety

My little baby who sat so peacefully while I showered every day for almost 8 months has now decided that the devil is eating me and he must scream while I am behind the vile curtain. Even a nurse didn't calm him, cheerios did the trick. Now he's sitting there grinning at me every time I look at him, relieved that he saved me from the evils.
I found a jumperoo on craigslist last night for a decent price, so Paxton and I are going to pick it up. I made it sound like Tim and I were coming to get it, in case they are crazy-craigslist-jumperoo-killers. Then off to Carters because everything is half price and my baby needs some new sleepers.
She doesn't know yet, but if we aren't too tired, I might call
vitainpalus to see if we can stop in for a short visit.
I started watching Firefly and one of the episodes freaked me out before bed. It wouldn't have been scary if I were watching it with Tim downstairs, but I was watching it in the dark, in bed, with a sleeping baby who may be able to save me from the shower devil, but cannot save me from my own imagination. Thankfully I fell asleep without too much issue.

Date: 2011-03-26 06:53 pm (UTC)I got a little worried when I went alone with Emilie to pick up the jogging stroller, so I don't blame you!
I edited this because I'd linked to a coupon, but the fine print says it can't be used on entire store sales. Oh well. Also I don't know if you have a Sam's Club but they sell Carter's clothes and they are cheaper than this sale, even. =)

Date: 2011-03-26 07:00 pm (UTC)Turns out the woman I bought it from was so sweet and friendly! It makes me a little nervous though, going to a stranger's house.
I am lucky I've had daily showers. I think he'll just have to spend 10 minutes in his jumperoo and mommy will shower with the door open because I LOVE my daily showers.

Date: 2011-03-26 09:03 pm (UTC)Yeah, the woman I got the stroller from was quite nice as well...you just never know but I'd like to think that most people are!
Oh, I can have a daily shower, just not whenever I want it. :) Emilie was quite happy to hang out in her rocker or exersaucer for awhile...but then once she could crawl she would just scream, scream, scream. And of course I had to put the rocker away because she could tip it over (it's out again now that she can climb in and out by herself). No way could I listen to that for 10 mins, so I usually take my showers at night now. Relaxing, at least.

I put a video up on facebook for you and it turned out to be a video of the plant. lol I guess I thought I was recording and I wasn't and then I "stopped" recording and I really started. I took it down and am putting up a new one of Pax.

Date: 2011-03-26 09:20 pm (UTC)LOL - neeps and tatties = turnips and mashed potatoes. Mission accomplished, it was awesome. Though I missed having some someone to share it with.
I totally missed the plant video - but I'm sure it was *scintillating*.
Took a ton of photos today - about five of which I'm happy with. Heh. Really need a wide-angle lens attachment for the video camera for those up close shots.
Love you, Hugs and kisses to Paxton.

Date: 2011-03-26 09:22 pm (UTC)Food sounds good! I just put some potatoes in the oven, I'm so hungry, going to do a pork chop with it and some veggies. I've been really lazy with cooking.

Date: 2011-03-26 10:22 pm (UTC)Have you ever watched "Arrested Development"? There's a moment when one of the younger characters is traumatized because he mistook the TV show "Oz" for the "Wizard of Oz."
