The weekend felt exceptionally long, I think because of the hurricane excitement. I'm looking forward to a nice quiet day today, before 3 days of work. This is my last 'long' week, next week I start working only Thursday and Saturday. I'd like to find one thing a week to do with Paxon, like the pool, I think they had a Wednesday open swim for moms and young children.
Paxton has been exceptionally cute this morning. He started by blowing kisses in bed (first time he's done that, my mom was blowing him kisses on webcam yesterday), and then he blew kisses to daddy too. He's been walking around with Tim's broken cell phone on his ear. He stands and points to the vacuum constantly, he hates the vacuum and is obsessed with it when it's turned off. He points and says "ummm". He was walking around "maaa"ing his goat, which I know I've written about before but it is TOO cute. He brought me the outfit he's wearing, no idea if it's because he wanted to wear it or just likes the fabric, but he's wearing it.
Tim and I have been playing Lego Indiana Jones. Yesterday Paxton pulled on the cord, since the batteries for the wireless controllers were charging, and he pulled the xbox off the shelf and scratched the disk! Luckily the game is only 10 bucks or something.
Hahah, Paxton is trying to snap. He plays this song on his leapfrog table and I always do a silly dance and snap my fingers, but he plays it over and over again and I get tired of snapping, so he was trying to. CUTE.
Last night we had ham and bean soup with cornbread. I'm looking forward to winter and soup making.. it's so nice to have soup to eat in the summer, frozen from my winter soup making. I made the cornbread in a preheated cast iron pan and it made it super crispy and delicious.
I just saw a notice on facebook from Reagan's teacher last year, saying they had more earthquake aftershocks, so I googled it and they had 4 yesterday and one in the middle of the night. Poor Reagan, this has been harder on her than I thought it would be. (I thought she'd love it, but she was really scared) Tim's going to check in on her soon.
Time to go get some chores done!
