I woke up and thought "What the hell are the neighbour kids doing screaming in the pool this early" and then I looked at the clock and realized I slept till 10:30. I need to cherish these days :P

Reagan and I went and joined them in the pool. I brought a giant plate of watermelon, but need to invest in some plastic platters so I can put things pool side. Reagan was the only kid really eating the watermelon, but oh well, it's there. The grownups like it too. Last week strawberries and cantaloupe were the big hit.

Home for some lunch, for Reagan to write her journal, maybe figure out dinner and head back to the pool. Tim had a band to go see tonight, and if he does that, I think I'll take Reagan to Amy's and we are going to watch something to do with True Blood (it starts again tomorrow night) and the girls will watch a movie upstairs.

It is a gorgeous day in Virginia!!

Dumb move. I lectured Seamus and Reagan about how you can get a worse sunburn when it is overcast, and then only sunscreened my face. Now I'm burnt. Oops

I found a little energy and motivation.

I hung 4 hooks by our front door, so we can stop using the railings on the banister as coat hooks.
Opened a bunch of unopened mail.
Started laundry.
Tidied the living room.
Tidied the kitchen counters.
Got rid of the big table my laptop was on and moved it onto a smaller, lower table.
Filled out our 2010 USA Census forms, my first one.
Pulled out food for dinner, in case Tim doesn't go to his concert.
Finally called and figured out the issues with my Navy Federal accounts.
Weeded the front garden.

Pretty good!

Tim's on his way home, so time to make him some dinner! It's been nice to have windows open, I love how fast the weather changes here, from 3 feet of snow to shorts and bare feet weather!

I'm feeling pretty cruddy today, but Tim sent me a picture of the kite they were flying behind our apartment, and I had to go out. I even flew the kite for a bit, but I mainly just lay on the grass, enjoying the sun. It's about 66F out right now! (19C)

I took some pictures:

Reagan had to get a blanket once she saw me laying down:

bike ride

I felt like such a loser, the other day, when I tried to go for a bike ride and felt so weak. Well, I just went for a bike ride on my newly fixed up bike, and it turns out that riding on a flat tired is REALLY REALLY HARD. Today the bike ride was no problem. It still put me into a coughing fit afterwards, and I only did a couple kilometres because it was SO cold with the wind coming off the ocean, but I'm glad I went out!

The tide was out so far, and there were sailboats out on the water. So pretty.
