very basic vegetable soup

grape tomatoes, because I had them

large onion, lots of great flavour!

vegetable broth base, cause I'm too lazy to make my own (and en français)

few stalks of celery

carrots

cabbage!

try and stuff it all into the pot

cook at medium temp for a while

devour

I don't really add any herbs or spices to my soups, most the time I just make a pot and eat it for a few meals. Little pepper on top, sometimes add chicken. If I have other veggies, I add them, if not, then I just make sure I have cabbage and onion for sure. Broccoli gets mushy if you add it too soon... I just use a variety each time.

No cupboards, no sink, no stove. Once I get them back, I'll be able to try my hand at cooking again :)

Date: 2005-11-21 01:50 pm (UTC)I saw a recipe similar to this several years back that got some spicy sausage and sauted it with the onions and then put it into the soup.
I can't tell you how it was with the onions since I am allergic to them, but, I can tell you it was good sauted with mushrooms and garlic!
Can't wait for the next episode of "Cooking With Melly".
