19 weeks

I can tell I feel bad about not cooking delicious meals for Tim, like I used to. Last night I dreamed I was trying to make something for him, and there was this big bad of wild rice pasta. It was rotini shaped, and was black and red. I was kind of disappointed when I looked in the pantry today, thinking about dinner, and realized I had only dreamed it. I think he'd like something like that!

I'm 19 weeks today! So close to being half way through this pregnancy! Just think, only 21 more weeks of reading about me feeling sick. Heh

I am going to try to make him dinner tonight. He's been living on Amy's food the last week, or left overs here and there. He isn't suffering, but one of the things I love is cooking good food for him.

I wish I watched the Olympic closing ceremonies. I heard they were quite ridiculous and silly with giant blown up beavers and mounties. I'm afraid I turned it off when Nickelback was playing, I think I had purposely forgotten they were Canadian.

Feels like it's been a productive day. Reagan wrote a five paragraph essay on "three things that describe her". It's actually a school assignment for next week, but she's had some issues following instructions on paragraphs, so I hoped that if we went over it, she tried it, she could see how well she could actually write, and hopefully that would carry over to school. I was actually really impressed with what she wrote. I hope she does as well in class, she will need to write it again, for her teacher. She's a smart kid, sometimes I think she'd do better without the distractions of socializing and just the focus on her school work. Leave the socializing for after school. A year or two of homeschooling would probably do wonders.

After her work, she showed me her interpretive dance, which was really cute, but involved a lot of spinning which seemed to make us both dizzy. :P

Tim's been working on my laptop all afternoon, poor guy, so much work and it just isn't working for him. I appreciate how much time he put into it, but I think we are going to have to buy a new motherboard for it. We both thought about just buying a smaller laptop for me, but this one is a really good laptop, is worth fixing, and the motherboard (on ebay) is way cheaper than a new laptop.

Amy and her mom made soup this afternoon, and sent over a big bowl of it for us. I'm hoping I can eat it, I've been able to eat her soup, but not my own for some reason. If I've done any work to make a meal, my body says no.

I woke up feeling like I had a bad head cold, but it has slowly eased off, just a headache remaining. I think my body is worn out this week. It needs more food, less morning sickness.

Okay, I take back anything I said about not wanting to take drugs for morning sickness. Yes, I still kind of feel a bit crappy, but I can COPE!

I not only cleaned the bathroom, I did a load of laundry, tidied the living room, made a delicious dinner that didn't come out of a box (jalapeno sour cream chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed green beans) and even made a rhubarb apple crisp (well, two, cause it was a lot of apple and rhubarb). I ran the dishwasher, put some presents away, and made it up my stairs multiple times without feeling like I was going to throw up.

Hopefully I didn't over do it. Hahah, might be a day of rest for me tomorrow, but damn, it felt good to be ME today.

I was way too sick to drive to get Reagan today, so Tim took the afternoon off so Reagan wouldn't have to go to daycare this afternoon. I really hope that next week, trimester 2, I feel a bit better and can do my normal things!

I hope that how sick I was this week doesn't affect my baseline testing for the midwives.

Also, I pulled some leaves out of the sump pump and plugged it in, and it's working again, thank goodness. I think it just froze at one spot and that forced the pipes apart. We will probably replace the piping eventually, but we are sort of slow with those kinds of chores ;)
